200601825 Hyesu Ahn assignment Wonderful teacher

Wonderful teacher

It was the first morning that I was a senior of middle school. A horrible sound echoed around the corridor. "Our homeroom teacher is the BANDIT" some of my classmates shouted. The BANDIT was his nickname. He was so muscular. He was so tall and big and he looked extremely powerful and tough. And also he was really hairy. Because of his appearance, all of student in our school started to call him the BANDIT. All of the class sat down on chairs. In the classroom, the BANDIT was the only one standing in front of the class. And then there was only a silence. That was the beginning of a senior's life.

Generally seniors of middle school have to prepare for high school. So we had to study really hard. But I was a bad student who liked to hang out with my friends rather than study. I was an adolescent boy. My grades were getting decreased when I was a sophomore. I would skip almost every classes, both school and academy in order to hang out with my friends. I had lots of troubles concerning my family. But, after had met him, I was changed. He made us come to school an hour earlier than other classes. When we were late, we were thrashed by his so called, 'power bat'. It was much bigger than baseball bats and much heavier. We could not be late. And also we had English and Chinese character exams everyday. Some classmates who were not good at the exams had to study after school. Because we were afraid of him, we could unite each other. In Addition to the study, he also emphasized physical training. Almost every weekend, we had soccer matches and we camped in school. Thus we could be united with all classmates and get higher grades than any other classes. We had really wonderful memories of senior.

He always said that "Enjoy it if you can't avoid." Since I graduated middle school I have met a lot of teachers. But he is the one I like most, respect most, and miss most. Whenever I face difficult situation, I recall his strong but warm words. I recall his extremely tough and bandit-looking but benignant face. I will always remember him, the best teacher.

  1. The main point of your essay might be the wonderful teacher whom you met in your second grade of the middle schol.

Using the teacher's nickname is very interesting to me. And I think you describe your teacher well about his appearance and characteristics.

The most impressive part is the introduction of your essay. I can draw a picture of the situation clearly. I could also recall my days in middle school.

But I was little confused about the connection between Bandit and appearance which has lots of hair. If you explain it more specific, this writing will be more impressive one.

  2. 1. What I like about this piece of writing is your introduction. You described him well. I like your content, because of your interesting episodes with him.

    2. Your main point seems to be your homeroom teacher who was quiet strict, but gave you warm words, when you are a senior of middle school.

    3. The last sentence, 'When we were late, we were thrashed by his so called, 'power bat'.', because I am not used to this kind of situation. I guess you graduated from middle school for only boys.

    4. I understood that he made you behave properly. But I wanted to know how exactly you got to like him. I think if I were you, it would be quite difficult to like and miss him. Did you have a crucial moment?
